Standish Parks & Recreation Summer Camps
We offer a 7-week summer camp experience for kids entering grades K-9. Our three camps are located at elementary schools in Standish. Campers of all ages will enjoy a variety of indoor/outdoor activities including field trips, special events, arts & crafts, sports, swimming, and games. Our experienced staff will promote fun through healthy, balanced, and safe activities. 

Example of field trips (depending on age) could include: beaches, Seadogs game, Urban Air, Funtown, Smitty's Game Lab and Movies, canoe/kayaking, bowling, Aquaboggan, mini-golf, hiking trails, local/state parks, playgrounds, team building, and more.

Camp Dates:
June 26 - August 11, 2023 (anticipated - depending on last day of school)
July 3rd and 4th - NO CAMP - Happy Independence Day!
Bonus Camp Week Dates:
August 14 -18, 2023 (Grades K-5 only)

Held at Edna Libby Elementary School.

Adventure Camp (entering grades 6-8 in the fall 2023) - Click HERE for camp schedule
Held at Steep Falls Elementary (regular day drop off and pick up, 9:00-3:30) and George E. Jack Elementary School (Extended day drop off and pick up, 7-8am and 3:30-5:30). 

Bonus Week Camp (8th week): (all grades K-5 together, one location) -

Regular Camp Day:
     Hours: 9:00am - 3:30pm (field trips and scheduled activities occur between these hours)
     Fee: $1050 for 7 all weeks
      $225 per week (with exception of July 4th week)
     
Extended Camp Day:
     Hours: 7:00am - 5:30pm (supervised, non-structured activities occur during these extended am/pm hours)
     Fee: $1330 for 7 weeks 
     $250 per week  (with exception of July 4th week)

Each Camper who registers by the deadline of June 15th will be provided with a camp T-shirt. Extra Camp Shirts are available for $10 each.

Bonus Week Camp (8th week): held at GEJ School for grades K-5 only
     Hours: 7:00am - 5:30pm
     Fee: $250
Bonus Week combines all grades K-5 at one location with a limited number of campers. We use GEJ school as the home base for this camp and each day has a field trip off site for the majority of the day.

Campers who register for all 7 weeks of either regular day or extended day will benefit from the discounted rate. Campers attending at least 5 weeks, should register for the full 7 weeks of camp and save. Campers who will attend fewer than 5 weeks should register at the weekly rate.

Online Registration Process:

Resident Registration Begins Wednesday, March 1
Non-Resident Registration Begins March 14
A deposit of $200 is required at the time of registration for full summer.  
A deposit of $75 is required for each week at registration for 'by the week'.
Balance in full for all camp registrations is due by June 15
---> NEW This Year ---> Vaccination Records are required to be uploaded at registration

Registration Deadline: June 15 for the full summer (or until the program fills). After June 15, the weekly rate applies for the available weeks.
Final Payments Due: Please note that payments are required in full by June 15. If you have questions regarding your balance or would like to set up a payment plan, please call the Parks & Recreation Department at 642-2875.

Refund Policy:
If your child withdraws from camp, written notice must be given five business days prior to your child's withdrawal from the program in order to receive a refund, minus a $25 administrative fee. If your child withdraws prior to the start of the program, five business days notice is not required for a refund but a $25 administrative fee will be charged. Notice can be given by email to Ryan French at rfrench@standish.org  

Please Note: Campers who are registered for the full 7-week program will pay a discounted rate. Campers who register for individual weeks will pay the regular rate. If a refund is requested, it will be figured based on the the total number of weeks attended rather than how many weeks were originally registered. The Parks & Recreation Department recognizes there can be extenuating circumstances and maintains the right to handle refunds on a case-by-case basis as necessary.
