The Standish Parks & Recreation Department was a lucky recipient of a second beach wheelchair provided to us by SmileMass an organization dedicated to expanding beach accessibility.
RENTING A BEACH WHEELCHAIR IS FREE!!
If interested in reserving one of our beach wheelchairs, you can complete the online reservation at www.StandishRec.com or visit the office Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Although the beach wheelchairs are FREE to reserve the recreation office will need a copy of a credit card on file. If the wheelchair ends up lost, stolen or damaged the renter will be liable for the costs of repairing or replacing the beach wheelchair.
Utilization of the beach wheelchairs may not exceed 3 days.
Please note that we will keep a copy of your credit card on file until the wheelchair has been returned in the same condition that it was given to the renter.
A recreation account will need to be created by the renter or by recreation staff upon pick up to ensure that we have the renters name, phone number, and mailing information.
*Pick-up for the beach wheelchairs will be at Rich Memorial Beach located at 100 Newbegin Way (off of Harmon's Beach Road)*
Renting party is responsible for pick up and drop off of the beach wheelchair.
