Tennis Club is an introductory club for children in grades 1-5 that wanted to learn and play tennis. We aim to have participants leave the program after 4 weeks with greater tennis skills and a love for the game.Please bring your tennis racket, and water bottle. If your children is enrolled in our after school program, transportation from school to the session in included. Join us with your kids (ages 3-5) for guided nature exploration program designed to connect youth to nature and encourage curiosity and observation.Join Gail from Standish Parks & Recreation and Jenna, the Education & Technical Specialist from Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District, for some fun and educational sessions which will include a story book, outdoor explorations, hands-on activities, and creative crafts related to each session's topics. Each session is 45 minutes - 1 hour long.Are you an Ant? | Johnson FieldJoin us as we learn about ants - what do they eat, where do they live? We will do some exploring - and an ant experiment!Over and Under the Pond | Rich Memorial BeachJoin us as we explore macroinvertebrates found in ponds. We will look for differences between species and learn how they change as they grow.So Many Birds | Mountain Division TrailJoin us as we look, listen, and learn about birds and build awareness about birds living in our area. We will explore why birds are shaped the way they are, where they live, and what they eat.
