Please join us on our adventure to Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport ...the first and largest Electric Railway Museum in the world. We will learn about and gain a new appreciation for the role public transportation has played throughout history.
We will enjoy a 3 mile round trip ride (approximately 35 minutes) on a private demonstration railroad through Maine woods on their heritage railroad in a vintage trolley from the early 1900s. They welcome us to ride the trolley as many times as we want. We will explore three carhouses filled with beautiful, restored trolleys and several other precious transit artifacts around their outdoor campus. Their world-renowned collection includes vehicles from almost every major city in the United States that had streetcar systems, as well as from across the world. We can visit the Restoration Shop where we can view many cars in the process of maintenance or comprehensive restoration. There is a Museum Store where snacks and mementos of our visit are available for purchase.

We will enjoy breakfast at Mel's Raspberry Patch on our way to the Museum (cost of breakfast on your own) and a possible stop for ice cream on the way back to Standish (cost of ice cream on your own).

Cost: $27.00 includes transportation, trolley ride and tour. (cost of breakfast on your own). This is a contractual program, so no refunds unless a replacement can be found.

We will meet at Standish Town Hall and leave promptly at 8:15am and return at approximately 2:00pm. Please park in the upper-level parking lot.
