Day in Rockland

Join our adventure for a day in Rockland. We will experience a self-guided tour at the Farnsworth Art Museum that offers a nationally recognized collection of works from many of America's greatest artists. Their mission is to celebrate Maine's role in American Art. With almost 16,000 works in the collections, there is always something new on view at the Farnsworth. They are currently featuring the 250th celebration of America and Maine's contribution to Art in America, as well as the worlds of Betsy James Wyeth. Unfortunately, The Farnsworth Homestead and the Olson House are closed for critical restorative work. While in Rockland, we will have opportunity to explore various lunch options and some quaint shops all within walking distance of the museum (cost of lunch on your own).
On our way heading south, we will stop at the Maine State Prison Showroom gift shop in Thomaston, before heading back to Standish.
Cost: $35.00 includes transportation and museum ticket (cost of lunch on your own). This is a contractual program, so no refunds unless a replacement can be found.
We will leave Standish Town Hall promptly at 8:00am and will return at approximately 5:00pm. Please park in the upper-level parking lot.
