Purpose
The purpose of Adult Pick-Up Basketball is to provide a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where individuals can participate in informal, recreational basketball. Adult Pick-Up Basketball is not a league or instructional session. It is unstructured play available to registered or walk-in participants.
Eligibility
- Adult Pick-Up Basketball is available to all individuals aged [21+]. Anyone who is under 21 will not be allowed in the gym.
- Participants may be required to show ID or register in advance.
Schedule
- Adult Pick-Up Basketball hours will be posted monthly via email blast.
- Times are subject to change due to facility use, maintenance, or special events.
- Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise noted.
Check-In Procedures
- All participants must sign in at the front desk before entering the gym.
- Walk-In's will be permitted to enter but will need to purchase a Day pass with the staff member present.
Rules of Conduct
- Respectful Behavior: All participants are expected to treat others with respect. Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated.
- Language: Profanity or abusive language is strictly prohibited.
- Fighting or Rough Play: Physical altercations will result in immediate ejection and potential ban from future Open Gyms.
- Attire: Athletic shoes (non-marking soles) and appropriate gym attire are required. No open-toed shoes or boots.
- No Food or Drink in Gym Area: Only water bottles are permitted inside the gym.
- No Dunking or Hanging on Rims: To preserve equipment and for safety, dunking or hanging on rims/backboards is not allowed.
Safety & Liability
- All participation is at your own risk.
- The facility is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
- Injuries should be reported immediately to staff.
- First aid is available with designated staff members.
Enforcement & Disciplinary Actions
- Staff have the authority to enforce rules and remove participants for violations.
- Repeated or serious offenses may result in suspension or permanent ban from Adult Pick-Up Basketball.
