Join us for a fun filled day in Bridgton...we will explore together this hidden gem...66 acres of woodlands and stream in the heart of Bridgton that offers a 2.3 mile trail network that includes short walking trails crisscrossing through the park, wildlife, brooks, and 2 covered bridges, one of which is 60 feet!. The wood-chipped and boardwalk pathways lead you deep into the park where there have been sightings of beaver, deer, mink, pileated woodpeckers, and spotted salamanders. If we are lucky, we will enjoy the sweet scent of honeysuckle and a glimpse of humming birds along the way. We can choose our path from easy to moderate...walking a slow pace to take in the breathtaking beauty for as little or long as we wish. The park has numerous boardwalks, multiple beautiful bridges spanning the brooks and a spiral staircase on a bridge in the middle of the forest that offers some heavenly views if you are able to climb it. There are benches strategically placed along the trails, perfect for a rest or snack break. 
Pondicherry Park was donated to the Town of Bridgton in 2012 with a conservation easement held by Loon Echo Land Trust. There is a donation box available if anyone wishes to contribute. 

We will enjoy lunch in Bridgton and how can we head back to Standish without stopping at Reny's? (cost of lunch on your own). 

Cost: $10.00 includes transportation to Bridgton (donation box contribution on your own)

We will meet at Standish Town Hall and leave promptly at 9:00am and return at approximately 3:00pm. Please park in the upper-level parking lot.
