Please join us on our journey to Castle Hill on the Crane Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Experience the grandeur of this marvelous seaside estate! This 2100-acre National Historic Landmark encompasses salt marshes, beaches, a wildlife refuge, and Castle Hill, an enormous mansion built in the 1920s overlooking Ipswich Bay in Massachusetts. Our trip will begin with a one-hour guided tour of the mansion and grounds at about 10:00am. After learning about the history of the estate, we will have some free time to explore the property. You won't want to miss this impressive display of architectural and cultural history! This is a very early trip and a more than 2 hour drive, but promises to be an amazing adventure. Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are highly recommended. You must be able to walk for extended periods of time and climb a couple flights of stairs if required.

We will be stopping for lunch on our way back home (cost on your own). 

Cost: $35.00 to include transportation and tour tickets (cost of lunch on your own)

This program is in collaboration with Gorham Parks and Recreation...we must have 14 registrations from Standish to run the program.

We will meet at Standish Town Hall and leave promptly at 7:30am and return at approximately 5:00pm. Please park in the upper-level parking lot.
