Let's embrace this cold winter weather and explore the Peary-MacMillian Arctic Museum in Brunswick. This Museum is located at Bowdoin College and is dedicated entirely to all things arctic and is the only museum in the US devoted completely to Arctic Studies. Bowdoin College is located along the North Atlantic coast, a region extending into the Arctic and characterized as one of the most dynamic and challenging environments in the world. For over 10,000 years small-scale societies have made a living along northern North Atlantic shores. They have responded and reacted to shifts in the climate and environment. By studying their successes and failures we can better understand complex human-environment-climate relationships and skills that make people resilient and resourceful.

We will enjoy lunch at Cameron's Lobster House in Brunswick before heading to the museum (cost of lunch is on your own)

Cost: $13.00

We will meet at Standish Town Hall at 11:45am and return at approximately 4:45pm. Please park in the upper-level parking lot.
