Please join us in a tour behind the scenes at the Portland Jetport (PWM) and experience the magic of aviation!

"When you've traveled, have you wondered about the projects going on behind the scenes at the airport, or thought about how we could possibly move and screen so many bags?  Do you have questions about the jobs the ground crew has to perform to get a flight safely turned so it can move on to its next destination?  If these questions pique your interest, the PWM Team invites you for a visit behind the scenes at the Portland International Jetport.  This program will last approximately 90 minutes and will cover everything from history, to amenities, to upcoming improvements."

There will be a security briefing at the beginning of the tour and there are occasionally security teams at some of the doors we'll go through, and if they ask us to be screened, we must submit to full screening.  No weapons of any kind are allowed, including pepper spray and pocket knives.  No liquids are allowed, and we can't throw away trash once we're in the gate area.  Once we're inside these areas we all have to stick together.

This tour typically lasts about 90 minutes and does involve a good bit of walking and we will go up and down some stairs. Wear comfortable footwear!

We will stop at Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in South Portland to enjoy some lunch on our way back to Standish (cost of lunch on your own)

Cost: $10.00 includes tour and transportation (cost of lunch on your own)

We will meet at Standish Town Hall and leave promptly at 9:45am and return at approximately 2:30pm.
Please park in the upper-level parking lot.
