Join us to celebrate this amazing 90 minute performance of "Emilie: The Marquise Du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight" at the Saco River Theatre.

"This 18th century french mathematician/physicist and scientific genius Emilie du Chatelet is back and determined to answer the question she died with: love or philosophy, head or heart? In this highly theatrical, fast, funny, sexy rediscovery of one of history's most intriguing women, Emile defends her life and loves; and ends with both a formula and legacy that permeates history." Emilie died in childbirth before her work was finished and before she received the credit she deserved. She is later brought back to a spiritual consciousness after death and tells the story of her life to the audience, while introducing important people in her life and acts out some scenes with them. This performance proves to be a balance between humor and heartbreak. 

Cost: $30.00 includes theater ticket and transportation

We will meet at Standish Town Hall and leave promptly at 2:00pm for the 3:00pm show and return at approximately 5:00pm. Please park in the upper-level parking lot.
